AVAILABLE NOW:
DJ Dusk’s Root Down Soundclash on DVD

Finally, now available on DVD is the uncut & unedited documentary of three of the most legendary beat battles at the late DJ Dusk’s legendary Root Down parties in L.A. I’ve been waiting for this one to come out ever since they put up this trailer on YouTube over a year ago:

For the full run-down on the DVD and the background stories behind all three battles, check out the official Mochilla press release here.

Also, after the jump is an excerpt from an interview I did with Waajeed where he talks about what led him to dedicate a song to DJ Dusk on The War LP.

SUPPORT: You can get an advanced copy of DJ Dusk’s Root Down Soundclash DVD now from the Mochilla shop. It’ll be available in stores everywhere on January 13th.

GIVE: For more on Dusk and the charities being carried out in his name, go to the Captan family’s MySpace page.

Oh man, thanks for the hip tip. I have Thes’ CD joint on P-Vine Records and I really wish I could have been there for theirs, just knowing Thes and figuring how he’d be reacting to what Will’s beats sort of came off as.

Definitely clutch… I gave you a nod over on my site Frying in Vein. 1
