SLCT’ED VIDEO:
Free The Robots
"Ophic"
feat. Jessie Jones

Yesterday, Okayplayer premiered “Ophic,”
the new music video from Free The Robots,
featuring vocalist Jessie Jones of Feeding People,
from his forthcoming 2013 LP on Scion A/V.

California underground hip-hop producer, Free the Robots, has teamed up with vocalist Jessie Jones to release “Ophic”, a surreal track that brings an angelic voice to FTR’s progressive style. Throughout the music video, our female protagonist is on an ambling walk among clouds of fluorescent smoke, while time-reversal video effects create a distorted sense of place. At once, you wonder both where Ophic is going and where she came from, and if our protagonist is any indication, the answer lies in the ocean.

After the jump, you can watch FTR’s video for “Jupiter” from 2011,
which shares the same director behind the camera as “Ophic” –
The Crosby co-owner, Phil Nisco.

Produced by Free The Robots
Vocals by Jessie Jones
Video Directed by Phil Nisco
