Yes, we know,
it’s been a while -
but they’re back.
Portland x Bay Area hybrid band,
Grillade –
comprised, of course, of
singer Ragen Fykes,
producer, Kyle Pierce (formerly Keelay)
& live band, The Park -
return to form today
w/ a well-timed free single:
a cover of Ten Years After‘s still poignant,
1971 hit, “I’d Love To Change The World.”
Grillade take the song
& add a whole new energy to it,
while still allowing themselves
to stay true enough to the original.
You can hear it for yourself
& stream the single here
before downloading for free below.
Also, included after the jump,
is a quick videography/recap
of all the Grillade videos
that we couldn’t post
because our site was down at the time (stupid us) -
namely:
their first official single – “Dream Of You,”
another great cover, “Just A Sad Christmas,”
and three live-in-session videos
w/ the Yours Truly blog -
including, “Remain The Same”
& two from their EP sessions w/ rapper, Big K.R.I.T.
You can watch all of those after the jump.
