I’m pretty sure this is one of those moments
that we’ll look back on, 10-20 years from now,
in pure awe that it actually happened.
Either that, or its just a really dope song.
Regardless to its future historical weight -
L.A. producer/emcee, Jonwayne
has graciously dropped a new track on us tonight
that features — no, assembles –
an elite five man squad of his talented peers
for a good-ole-fashioned, rapping-ass posse cut.
Leading this inaugural edition of “Night School,”
we have…
Azizi Gibson
- member of the preHISTORIC Crew, latest emcee signed to the Brainfeeder label;
Quelle Chris
- one of our personal favorites from the last few years, Detroit-bred, Oakland-based,
co-founder of Crown Nation, producer for Danny Brown & others;
Jeremiah Jae
- another L.A.-based, Brainfeeder-signed emcee
& Scoop DeVille
- producer for Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar & Dr. Dre‘s “The Recipe” & more
+ no slouch on the mic either;
w/ Jon providing the Marley Marl to this 2012 “Symphony” on the intro
+ batting clean-up on the final verse
& of course, providing the beat as well.
If you’re not already sold by all of that,
then I really don’t what else I could tell you.
You can stream “Night School”
before downloading it for free below.
This one is for the everyone who’s not on Pitchfork’s speed dial.
We salute you.
