Miguel (Jontel) - Mischief: The Mixtape

Brand new free-download EP from young L.A.-based singer/songwriter and rising star, Miguel, entitled Mischief: The Mixtape. While waiting for his debut album to be released by Jive, Miguel (also known as Jontel) has been keeping busy with collaborations with underground favorites Blu (Below The Heavens, Johnson&Jonson), Exile (Dirty Science), Daz-I-Kue (”Move Part 2″) and Esthero (the internet leak “The Many Times”) - as well as major label writing credits for artists like Musiq Soulchild & Mary J. Blige and Usher.
All of the 8 tracks on Mischief are self-written by Miguel, and almost all of them are produced by him and his crew, Fisticuffs Productions, who have already produced for Ne-Yo and Jazmine Sullivan. The feel of Mischief is definitely more pop/mainstream-oriented than the rest of the music I’ve posted so far, but I still dig it for what it is. From radio-friendly singles to club bangers to acoustic ballads, Miguel’s talent still shines throughout them all.
You can preview two tracks below & then download the full EP at the bottom. Also, stay after the jump for some of Miguel’s guest appearances & songwriting placements.
