FRSH MIX:
Suzi Analogue –
Analogue Monsta Mix
(Part 2 of 2)
+ bonus COVRS 3P

There’s a lot going on in this one.
We recommend a deep breath before stepping in,
& then…
a proper, full basking of all that is offered in the following.
Thank you & you’re welcome.

Following up on the MONSTA-rous first half released last week,
we now complete the cipher w/ the second, Analogue half of their two part tour mix CD.

For her mix, miss Suzi Analogue used her 30min time slot
to concisely release some of her own old, current & upcoming tracks
from the vaults of her sought-after Analog catalog.
Included are 14 tracks, all self-written & produced,
save for a few covers for good measure, as well as two of her other collab pairings,
L∆V∆ w/ fashion SWRViette & renaissance man, Jamerson
& Loud On Da Block w/ the bearded beatstro himself, devonwho.

Also included below are a number of bonus items:
the exclusive COVRS 3P – which collects 2 of her recent SoundCloud covers,
Trick Daddy Dollar‘s “I’m A Thug” and The Strokes’Is This It?,”
w/ her previously unreleased rendition of Radiohead‘s most G’est offering to date,
You And Whose Army.”

Aaaand if all THAT wasn’t enough,
we also have a catch-up on all three of Suzi’s video klip/companion pieces to
her self-released cassette, NNXTAPE,
which was one of my favorite releases of last year,
& apparently I’m not the only one -
as Blu has said numerous times that it partly influenced his upcoming NoYork! opus.

Future collaborations for Suzi include work on NoYork! itself,
plus a still to-be-titled new group w/ both Blu & Detroit emcee/producer, Quelle,
as well work with Soweto dance artist, Spoek Mathambo, & the man the myth, Mndsgn.

But!
Before any of that – there is NNXT -
an upcoming 7″ yellow-colored vinyl single made up two earlier recordings,
the self-produced “The Thing” – the first recording she did while living in Japan,
& “The Program,” (produced by the incomporable Georgia Anne Muldrow
& featuring the inFONKable Dudley Perkins on the hook) –
which was just one of many collaborations that were recorded
in a special Vegas desert session w/ the trio a while back.
Needless to say, this vinyl debut of hers has been a long time coming
(in fact, these songs were already done
when FRSH SLCTS first introduced Suzi back in Feb 2009)
& its almost here now, thanks to emerging Dutch label, Dopeness Galore.
Along with the colored 7″ – there is also a deluxe box set version available,
with a limited edition sticker & t-shirt combo pack to fully bring NNXT to life.
See the purchase link below for full details & ordering options.
As for the title & concept, Suzi tells us…

The title NNXT was originally inspired by the name of a sampler in Reason (beatgeek alert), but the true meaning of the title is that now is the time for creative progression and expansion in our movement + culture…don’t be afraid to go there!

See… that deep breath helped, right?
Okay — now…
