“Excuses”
from The Process… EP

Making a name for themselves as the go-to backing band on the West Coast -
providing the rhythm section for rappers like Big KRIT, Freddie Gibbs, & Tanya Morgan,
as well as soul outfits like Quadron, Alice Russell, their own group, Grillade,
& dozens of others -
San Francisco’s The Park shed what might be expected from them by both genres,
& bring a refreshingly rock-tinged feel to their debut solo outing, The Process… EP.

Ranging from cinematic arthouse rock
to slowgroove electric jazz & most things in between –
The Process… covers a lot in its mere six tracks,
almost all of which are instrumental.

As an exclusive preview before the EP’s full release next week,
we have the debut of the group’s third video from the project
for the project’s sole vocal track -
the jazzy, reflective funk ballad “Excuses,”
which features keyboardist Ben Schwier on talkbox duties.
The clip was directed by John Coyne
& stars Leah McStocker
& another Park collaborator, singer/songwriter Lee Bob Watson.

Also, included “after the jump” (pretend there is one),
are the first two videos released for the EP,
both directed by two great DJ’s turned directors -
the playful “Belleville” – shot by Anthony Valadez
& the trippy travelogue “Belle” by LeFtO.

The Process… will available on Bandcamp, iTunes,
& anywhere else fine MP3′s are sold as of June 28th.
CDs, T-shirts & limited edition USB cassettes w/ bonus content
will also be available at gigs.
