French director Yoann Lemoine
releases yet another stunning music video
for his own singer/songwriter project,
under the name Woodkid.
Today, he brings us “I Love You,”
the first single from his long-awaited debut LP,
The Golden Age – which releases this March,
following up on the overseas success of two EPs,
Iron in 2011 and last year’s Run Boy Run.
“I Love You” seems to both continue on Woodkid’s storyline
and also maintain the previous videos’ aesthetics
for grandiose grayscale imagery and epic symbolism,
poignantly matched to his Lemoine’s emotive writing -
once again raising the bar for music videos
that are comprable to, & in some aspects –
more expertly crafted than, some major motion pictures.
You can watch “I Love You” here
& catch up on his two previous videos -
the title tracks to both respective EP’s -
plus the Golden Age video teaser,
all below.
